Conan, a massive barbarian, hails from the distant northland of Cimmeria. His race, the Cimmerians, are a grim, dour people who have a dark, dismal outlook on life. Much like his race, Conan is often dark and grim. But, he also enjoys the good life and has a tendency to indulge in good food, strong drink, and willing wenches. Chance has brought him to the city of Arabel where he seeks to make his fortune through the use of his blade.
